United Villages offers an ultra-affordable digital identity – a lifetime phone number and email address – to people in under-serviced rural areas. As the only dedicated Internet service provider for the rural Indian market, United Villages provides villagers with a lifetime phone number, email address and access to value-added services, such as voice mail, e-shopping, matrimonial services, and Internet web searching. United Villages accomplishes this via its Mobile Access Points (MAPs), which are mounted on existing vehicles (e.g. buses, trucks, and motorcycles) and which provide "drive-by WiFi" access as they pass through villages with WiFi-enabled kiosks operated by a local service provider.
